Stimulus Math: $26,160,955 Per Job Saved/Created

Amount of money in stimulus package:$787,000,000,000.

Number of jobs created or saved by the stimulus package: 30,083.

Dollars spent by government for each job saved: $26,160,955.

Good lord, does it really take the government 26 million of our tax dollars to save a job?

P.S. – That’s not the only news, though.  The real surprise in this story is that the Vice President has his very own chief economist!  WTF?

UPDATE: Michigan pathetically creates 397 jobs from spending $620 million.  Still, that’s only $1.5 million per person, which is much better than the national average.
